Travel speed is fast, penetration is good, and slag removal is easy. Washington Alloy E71T-GS is popular for the home workshop welder because it works so well on 110 volt machines and can be used on thin gauge steel. E71T-GS is used quite extensively in automobile body shops for door or body repairs and it is also used for sheet metal duct work on lap and butt joints.
