DIN cup is designed and manufactured in accordance with the German standard DIN 53211, commonly used in the determination of the viscosity of inks, paints, lacquers, etc., and is relatively easy to use. It consists of a high-quality aluminum cup with a capacity of about 100 ml and a stainless steel leakage nozzle. The viscosity of the test solution is assessed by determining the time required for the test solution to flow out of the leakage nozzle. It should be noted that the DIN 53211 standard only specifies the outflow cups with a 4mm hole in the funnel (DIN-4 cups), and the outflow cups with the rest of the holes are referenced to DIN 53211 (e.g. DIN-2/3/6/8 cups).
