The stom viscometer is used for the determination of paint and other KU indicating the viscosity of the coating. The instrument can display the KU value of the measured sample viscosity or the load value associated with the KU value (unit: G).
The instrument is controlled by a computer. The blade of a stirred blade (also called a rotor) is driven by a constant speed motor at a speed of 200r/min. The resistance moment of the impeller in the measured sample is converted by a computer to the KU value. (KU) is a logarithmic function of the load required to produce 200r/min speed, which is generally used to represent the speed of the 200r/min. It is used for the viscosity of the brush and roll. The operator only needs to enter the stirred blade into the measured depth and read the KU value of the sample or the relative load value directly from the instrument. The operator is simple and convenient to operate. The rotor is not needed to change the rotor in the whole measurement range (the rotor is the main part of the connection sensor, the improper installation will affect the measurement accuracy). This instrument is in accordance with the ASTM-D562 and GB/T9269-2009 standards.
