CodaBow's Diamond series bows are a great value for the money, offering outstanding performance for much less than a pernambuco bow of similar quality would cost. A graphite diamond weave with the appearance of carbon fiber is wrapped around an acoustic Kevlar core. The result is a stick that is springy and supple enough for fast and fancy bow-work, yet stiff enough to draw a strong tone from both acoustic and electric violins. The Diamond SX is the middle child of the family, and isn't as quick in the hand or as perfectly balanced as the Diamond GX, but the difference is mostly noticed when attempting flying spicatto and other challenging bow acrobatics. For most players, this is will be a fabulous working bow, sturdier and more durable than a pernambuco bow, while providing better performance than any wood bow in this price range.
