This is a passive adapter, which requires no additional power. It converts the Mini DisplayPort video signal to a VGA video signal. Note that this is not bidirectional and therefore will not convert VGA video to Mini DisplayPort. Also note that this does not support audio. The adapter is 6" long. Note: this is a passive adapter and is therefore not suitable for AMD Eyefinity installations.
