100 pieces of 1/4" wide spring steel boning, covered with a durable white nylon-based coating. Pre-cut in 24 lengths from 5.5" to 17" for easy use. This style of boning is ideal for straight seams, such as the center front and back of a corset. It does not bend side to side (only front to back) so for curved seams, you'll want to use spiral steel boning. Boning is always placed between two or more layers of fabric, either set into a bone casing, or between a top-stitched seam allowance and the outer fabric. Safe to hand wash and dry clean.
