The TDC-GP22 is an upgraded version of the next-generation TDC-GP21. It is a 100% pin and feature compatible upgrade for the TDC-GP21 with extended functionality. In particular, the new first wave detection capability makes the TDC-GP22 ideal for ultrasonic water meters with high dynamics. The programmable offset range of the comparator is increased to ±35 mV, and the offset is automatically reset to zero after the first detection of the wave. Measuring the relative pulse width of the first wave, the user can see the strength of the received signal. This can be used for long-term signal attenuation or bubble detection in the system. Compared to the TDC-GP21, multi-hit data processing and data reading are simplified.


The TDC-GP22 is a further improvement and simplification of the design of ultrasonic water meters and is a necessary step in the design of compact ultrasonic water meters.
