ProductDescription : This 1' length of our 2.25" aluminum tubing that is smooth drawn 6061 aluminum and shipped with a standard mill inner and outer diameter (16 gauge / 0.065" wall thickness). Our straight lengths of 6061 aluminum tubing are T6 tempered, meaning they have been heat treated and aged for durability, making them less susceptible to nicks and dings during the shipping and fabrication stages.

6061-T6 Aluminum combines relatively high strength, good workability, and a high resistance to corrosion. It also has excellent joining characteristics and is a good accepter of applied coatings (painting, powder coating, etc.). 6061-T6 Aluminum has slightly higher Ultimate Tensile and Yield Strengths than 6063-T6 Aluminum. Our 6061-T6 Aluminum Tubing is aircraft quality ASTM B210 Drawn manufactured in ISO certified plants.

Cut tolerance is +/- 1/8".
