The probe is made from a thin AWG 24 Gauge thermocouple wire and is rated for continuous use at from -320 °F up to 221 °F Fahrenheit (or -200 °C to 105 °C) . Short term this K-type thermocouple can be used up to 284°F or 140 °C. The thinner wire will give faster readings. The fast reading k-type thermocouple wire is about 0.12 inch in outer diameter. This type K Thermocouple Probe is made with a miniature K-type Thermocouple plug and will fit most digital K-type Thermometers.
