ProductDescription : The spherical bearings are pre-assembled machine elements, which are manufactured according to DIN ISO 12-240-1. They act as radial, axial or oblique spherical plain bearings.

The sliding contact is created between a spherical inner and outer ring, whereby the sliding pairing is determined depending on the specific load case.

Features and construction:
- Inner and outer rings: Spherical bearings consist of an inner and an outer ring. The inner ring has a spherical, convex outer surface that fits into the concave inner surface of the outer ring.
- Sliding pairing: The contact surfaces of the rings are designed to allow a sliding movement. The materials of the sliding pairing are designed for minimal friction and high wear resistance, often consisting of hardened steel, bronze or PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene).
- Self-lubricating features: some spherical plain bearings are self-lubricating, which means they have incorporated lubricants into their materials that reduce friction and simplify maintenance.
- Maintenance-friendly: There are both maintenance-free and maintenance-free variants. Maintenance spherical plain bearings require regular lubrication, while maintenance-free variants provide longer life without additional lubrication.
