Highly detailed 1/35 scale model kit of the World War II German heavy-tank Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B, commonly known as the "King Tiger" or "Tiger II". One of the most heavily armored and armed tank of the Second World War, the King Tiger tank was fitted with 150 to 180 mm thick frontal armor and a deadly 88 mm main gun, which could knock out all Allied tanks at a range well beyond the effective range of their guns. The King Tiger's Achilles? heel was that it was prone to mechanical problems. The King Tiger's massive 68-ton weight placed a lot of stress on its engine and steering system, and the heavy tank also guzzles fuel, which made it difficult to support during combat operations. This model kit depicts the King Tiger tank as it appeared during the German Ardennes Offensive, commonly known as the "Battle of the Bulge" (Dec. 1944 - Jan. 1945). This kit features Henschel designed King Tiger with the production version of the Krupp turret faithfully reproduced, and the kit comes with optional stepped or smooth gun manlets, optional open or closed hatches, 1 accurate scale model of the DKW NZ350 German Military Motorcycle, and 3 detailed figures in life-like poses.
