These devices share power and data in the ethernet cable. The splitter at the camera lowers the voltage to 12 volts to operate the device. Other Options To power up to many cameras from one power source, use either any PoE switch or use our 4, 8, 12 or 16 port, 48v injector and any non PoE switch.
