This strut knuckle spreader is compatible with those cars which are commonly equipped with a pinch bolt style hub.

Package include: 1 x Strut Spreader Tool(5.0-11.0 mm); 2 x strut sockets(6 x 8 mm and 5 x 7 mm)

For the strut spreader tool
1.Place the strut spreader tool in the middle of the shock suspension strut.
2.Use a 17MM screw spanner or socket to rotate to keep the slit open.
3.When the adjustment is done, rotate the outer hexagon in the opposite direction and remove the tool.
The bottom of this strut removal tool remains parallel to your socket spanner during operation, so it doesn't slip off or jump out.

For the strut sockets
Some vehicle manufacturers design their front struts to be clamped into the knuckle. This is commonly called a pinch bolt hub. Removing the bolts will not be enough to detach the shock from a vehicle featuring this design.
After the bolts are removed, a spreader socket must be placed into the strut clamp and rotated. This will spread the spindle housing hub away from the strut and allow it to be removed.
Special oval shaped head desgin, makes it easier to rotate the strut tool in the strut channel. No need to ever again sledge hammer away at the knuckle if you have this tool.

Do not use power tools or air tools to drive this Strut Spreader Tool.
