Handmade in Germany from 100% organic cotton. The hat is available with all-natural certified UV sun protection (all in organic cotton). All UV protective hats are completely free of any chemical additions. Sun protection is certified according to the most stringent rules of the UV-Standard 801. Materials are sourced from Germany whenever possible, and all materials meet IVN or GOTS standards. Member of the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry (IVN). CARE: Machine washable up to 30 C (86 F) SIZING: European sizes are in centimeters and are based on your child's head circumference, so we have translated them to estimated age equivalents. Please measure your child's head at its widest point, right above the eyebrows. Additional sizing details below: 34- 36 cm: Newborn to 5 weeks 38- 40 cm: 5 weeks to 3 months 42- 44 cm: 3 months to 5 1/2 months 46- 48 cm: 5 1/2 months to 9 months for children with larger head size; 5 1/2 months to 1 year for children with smaller head size 50- 52 cm: fits most children from 10 months to 4 years 54- 56 cm: 1 1/2 to 8 years for children with larger heads; 5 years to adult size S (for children with smaller head size and for most girls & women's sizes) 58- 60 cm: Larger children and adult (up to adult size M) 62- 64 cm: Adult size L and XL
