Service Caster recommends using a drill or hardware gauge, a 7/16” wrench, or our paper wrap method to ensure the grip ring stem diameter needed is 7/16”. Paper Wrap Method: take a small strip of paper and wrap it around the stem. Mark the paper with a pen where it overlaps, keep the wrap tight. Measure the strip from the start of the wrap to the mark. The total lock brake simultaneously locks the wheel and the swivel for a complete stationary position. The posi lock brake places a positive locking force against the wheel tread similar to the top lock brake, but the pedal is located above the wheel tread rather than on the side of the wheel.
