What is it made of? The Koala Mount consists of 2 small sturdy brackets made of ABS plastic. Each bracket is about 3.75 inches x .8 in x .75 in. How is it stuck to the wall? The brackets are designed to be attached to the wall using 3M Command strips (included). 3M Strips are one of the most trusted consumer adhesives on the market today and are rated to hold up to 5 lbs each, which is far more than any Kindle. Setup takes all of 2 minutes, and to remove, the Command strips can be stretched off without leaving any damage or residue. What if I don't trust the adhesives? We recommend performing a simple strength test after setting up the mount to ensure the Command strips have formed a proper bond with your wall. The test involves simply hanging a bag through the hole in the bracket and placing a 2 liter bottle of water/soda into the bag (which is approx 4 lbs). You can leave it overnight (or even a few days) and if it holds, you can rest assured that the Command strips are working properly. If the Command strips fail this test, you can contact the seller for free return shipping and a full refund. If you are still wary, we also sell a screw-in version of this mount. Compatibility: Any tablet/case combination that is 11mm thick or less will fit into the Koala Mount. This mount will work with the Kindle Fire HD 7, Kindle Fire HDX 7", Kindle Fire HDX 8.9", the Kindle Fire HD 8.9, and even the Kindle Paperwhite or Kindle Voyage. With Smaller tablets: The brackets come 7cm up the side of your tablet. With a Kindle 7, Kindle 6 or similar sized tablets, the charging port may be covered if mounted in landscape. Package includes: 2 ABS plastic brackets, 2 Large 3M Command Strips, cleaning pad, full setup and removal instructions. Notes: Intended only for use on smooth, non-textured surfaces.
