1. What is a GFCI

a. A GFCI receptacle is different from conventional receptacles. In the event of a ground fault, a GFCI will trip and quickly stop 

the flow of electricity to prevent serious injury.

b. Definition of a ground fault:

Instead of following its normal safe path, electricity passes through a persons body to reach the ground. For example a defective 

appliance can cause a ground fault.

c.  A GFCI receptacle does not protect against circuit overload, short circuits, or shocks. For example, you can still be shocked 

if you touch bare wires while standing on a non-conducting surface such as a wood floor.

2. Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter Outlets-gfci outlet outdoor

a. Self-Testing Function: Why perform seft-test 20 amp gfci breaker: If you miswired a GFCI, 

it can not be reset, the green indicator LED will be on, by which it may prevent personal injury 

or death due to a ground fault (electrical shock). If you mistakenly connect the LINE wire to the 

LOAD terminals, it will not provide power to either the outlet of the GFCI or the load terminal fed 

through the GFCI.

b. Certification: GFCI receptacle is UL certified. It complies with the lastest UL943 standard.

c. Two LED Indicator Lights gfci breaker: LED 1 is green and indicates on and off state; LED 2 is red and indicates end of life state.

3. How to install

Step1: Strip the insulating layer off the front end of the wire to expose the copper wire.

Step2: Push the wire through the back-wire hole at the top and push the screw. 

Step3: Tighten the screw CLOCKWISE .

Caution: Please do not tighten anticlockwise!
