Replacement Turbine and Mouthpiece compatible with MIR SMART ONE,
the personal pocket spirometer from MIR - Medical International Research.
The protective box, made from recyclable material, contains:
- one individually sealed orange turbine sensor flowmeter for personal use
- one individually sealed white plastic mouthpiece for personal use
How to replace your old turbine and insert the new one:
Position the Smart One in frontally, you’ll see the image of a “lock” on top the device shell.
If the old turbine is in place, turn it counter-clockwise pressing lightly, then pull it out from its compartment.
Insert the new turbine frontally (be sure the metal mesh is in front of you), press gently until it’s completely inside its compartment, and turn it clock-wise to lock it.
How to clean the turbine and the mouthpiece:
The correct functioning of the turbine can only be guaranteed if it has been cleaned in
the correct manner and is free from foreign bodies (such as threads or hair) which could alter its movement.
Any Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCI) solution or soapy water may be used for cleaning the turbine and the mouthpiece.
Immerse the turbine and the mouthpiece in the solution, agitate it briskly but gently and let it soak for about 10/15 minutes.
Do not expose the turbine to a direct jet of water (e.g. like tap ...).
Let it dry on a clean surface in an upright position without exposing the turbine to a direct jet of hot air or placing it close to hot air sources (hairdryer, heating).
