The most common reason for this igniter to burn out is poor airflow through the ignition pump, 3-20-02679. This will result in longer than normal ignition times or faulty start-ups. If the pump is very loud, replace the pump.

The igniter requires air to cool the igniter after the stove has ignited. If the intake filter is clogged, clean it in warm water or replace it, 1-00-02679. Reinstall the filter and see if the pump is moving air.
