Directions for Using Solder Paste
- Remove all dirt, excessive oxides, etc. from the joint area.
- Joint clearance (gap) should be as small as possible. The joint should be flat and smooth.
- Apply the paste to the joint. To prevent a continuous flow of solder from the needle after applying solder to the joint, pull back on the syringe plunger to relieve pressure.
- Apply heat to the article away from the joint. Keep heat/flame away from the needle tip. As binder "burns off", move the flame to the joint area.
- Remove flame immediately after the solder melts and flows.

Tips on for caring Needle Tip and Syringe
- Remove tip cap from the syringe, and press the desired needle tip onto the tip of the syringe. Save the tip cap for further use.
- When storing the solder paste for periods of time (when you will not be actively using the. syringe for several days) remove the needle tip and replace the tip cap on the syringe. Store syringe in a cool place. Save the needle tip for further use.
- Keep needle tips clean. If tips clog, clean with a fine wire.
