• This 18 gauge AWG (.032"/1.02mm) high copper solder wire is of the best quality on the market today. It melts and flows at 1460°F (793°C). Due to this solder being gray in color, it is not a good color match for joints that are visible.
• For Best Results: Solder using the least amount possible. Pickle as usual. Lightly sand the seam then reheat, pickle and lightly sand, repeating the process until you have the desired color match. What this process does is draws the copper to the surface. So as long as sanding is minimal, the copper content on the surface of the seam will cover the silver color that is usual for copper solder.
