Installation is fast and simple because each of the pre-drilled snow guards come with 2 screws and a user applied foam sealer pad. This eliminates the need for drilling out the holes and handling messy silicone while on the roof. The third hole is only used for hanging the SnowCatcher when painting to match the roof. The product is sold in this listing is mill finish. Snow guards should always be staggered across an entire roof area and spaced close enough (usually 1 per valley) to prevent the movement of snow and ice. On longer runs and steeper roof pitches multiple patterns going up the roof may be required. Snow Guards should never be placed in isolated areas such as just over a doorway or behind vent pipes.
