ProductDescription : How do you use this pocket knife sharpening kit?
Step 1: 1. Submerge the round sharpening stones in water for 2-5 minutes.
Step 2: Starting with the coarse #180 grit side (red side) of the wet stone, match the bevels angle on one side of the garden tool sharpener. and start sharpening. Use small circular motions and working the entire edge. Determine the number of strokes employed on a single side of the bevel to replicate your approach on the opposite side of the bevel. After finishing the first side, switch to the other side of the hatchet sharpening puck.
Step 3: During the sharpening process, little paste of water and metal will form, do not wipe this off.
Step 4: Now it's time to turn the axe honing stone over and repeat the process with the fine #320 grit side (white side)of the knife sharpener stone. Make sure your edge is sharp before you move onto the finer grit. Take your time. This is the final stage of sharpening and to get a sharp edge you need to stay consistent.
