Leucidal® Liquid Radish Root .5 oz (15 ml) glass dropper bottle Natural alternative to synthetic preservatives. Recommended usage rate: 2 to 4%. This is a MILD preservative, for water-based products use Leucidal Complete, a BROAD-SPECTRUM preservative. Leucidal Liquid is a natural preservative derived from Radish Root Ferment. The radishes are fermented with a lactic acid bacteria called Leuconostoc kimchii. Leucidal Liquid or Radish Root has been shown to provide mild protection against bacteria, mold, and yeasts. Radish root is a great natural alternative to synthetic preservatives. It has a light scent, a pale yellow color, and is water soluble. If you are preserving your own homemade skin care, you still need to test your formulation to determine the exact percentage of preservative needed. This is a mild preservative and may not fully protect against all bacteria, yeasts, and molds. Depending on your formulation, you may need to combine Radish Root with another preservative to fully protect your product. The recommended usage rate is 2 to 4%.
