This handy cable gives you access to the 8 pin mini DIN connection on your transceiver for easy connection to your linear, tuner, cat interface etc. All 8 pins plus the metal shell of the mini DIN plug are available.
With foil screen to protect against RF pickup and noise, one end of the cable has a 8 pin mini DIN plug which connects to the radio. The other end has 8 colour-coded wire-ends plus ground wire for you to connect to your project, for example:
  • Band data for linear amplifier or automatic antenna selection
  • PTT and ALC for linear amplifier
  • CAT serial control interface
  • Automatic ATU
Suitable for many transceivers, for example:
Yaesu FT-100, FT-817, FT-857, FT-891, FT-897, FT-900, FT-950, FT-991, FTdx1200, FTdx3000 etc.
and others with 8 pin mini DIN, for example Kenwood TS-480 series linear REMOTE socket.
Only for mini DIN, not full-size DIN connectors. Functionality available and pin-out of connector varies from radio to radio. Please consult your radio's manual. If you are unsure if this is the correct cable for your radio, consult your manual or contact us and we will check for you.Some transceivers (e.g. the Yaesu FT-857) have narrow access holes for the mini DIN connector. The connector on our cable has been machined to fit correctly.
