The late-model rack-and-pinion gear assembly is a popular solution in the IFS conversion and hot rod worlds. These racks, commonly referred to as the “T- rack” by were found on popular “Fox” chassis cars in the 1980s through the early 1990s, including the , Capri, , , and others. Today, we offer a T--style so you don’t have to fight rusty hardware in a junkyard or gamble on a reman at your parts store of questionable build quality.
Even with a new rack in hand, the second issue is plumbing the rack to your choice of accessory drive/ pump. Often the hoses will not work with your pump or may be too long or even too short. Your option is to use high-pressure or a to plumb your system. But how to connect these AN hose to your rack’s OE fluid ports? Our AN fittings are the answer and feature better sealing with tighter tolerances than other low-cost adapters on the market. Designed to fit the “Fox” T- rack, as well as the -style that uses 9/16-18 and 5/8-18 threaded ports, these AN fittings are huge time savers and allow for lines specific to your build/chassis to easily be connected.
Installation Tips
The smaller 9/16-18 port is the “in” from your pump, while the larger 5/8-18 port is the return to your pump’s reservoir. Don’t mix them up once converted to AN6.
