BulletPoint5 : Our caps are used extensively in the field by professional deck builders who want a product that will match their vinyl railings and reduce their callbacks for caps that dim or burn out prematurely. With our caps, they leave extra bulbs with the homeowner, and show them how easy it is to replace them should a bulb become defective in the distant future.
BulletPoint6 : Our included 3M style gel-filled connectors allows you to easily connect your 12 volt +/- power supply to your post cap, and daisy chain to your next post cap or light fixture without the need for additional splitters or power hubs that can become expensive. No wire stripping needed. Simply insert your wires and crimp connector closed with pliers.
BulletPoint7 : Important note: Installing 12 volt caps with replaceble bulbs on wood posts require a 1½" hole drilled into the top of the wood post, 3-4 inches deep, to allow for the bulb housing and gel-connectors. Drill a hole (slightly angled up) on one of the 4 sides of your post for your low-voltage wire. See picture detailing this in the gallery. Instructions showing this method also included with cap(s).

These can also be used on wood 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 posts, by removing the adapter ring from bottom mounting cup. Our budget friendly 12 volt lighted post cap with replaceable LED bulb. To use with your wood fence or railing posts. Made in USA DekLights brand DIY Line low-voltage lighted post cap with replaceable LED bulbs for your vinyl or wood deck railing or fence posts. LED safe from weather in a glass bulb housing that will never yellow, haze up, become brittle or crack. This main clear lens is our Pro Line Glass Edge style, which features a 100% acrylic (PlexiGlass) lens. Fits all vinyl posts with a 5"x5" outside measurement, and also wood posts with a 5½ inch x 5½ inch outside measurement with adapter ring removed from bottom mounting cup. If wood post is swelled up from moisture or UV exposure, simply sand top of post to allow cap to fit on correctly. You will need to drill a 1½" hole in top of your wood post, 3" deep, to allow for bulb fixture clearance. You will run your 12 volt wires from that same hole made. See picture in gallery. Our PVC and poly post caps are made to blend with your white trim, black trim, or mixture of both. We can also make these with custom color tops.
