ProductDescription : Aftermarket Replacement 8-3/8" skimmer weir door for the SwimQuip U3, Hayward SP1070 (SPX1070KHR). Installing weir doors is easy and take a few minutes: Turn off the pump and filter. With no water movement, this makes it easier to move around the skimmer. Remove the skimmer lid. We want to install the door by reaching into the skimmer from the top. Insert the spring-loaded weir door at the lower bottom position of the skimmer where the tile meets skimmer throat. Make sure that the flat side of the weir is facing upwards and the foam float is facing downwards towards the basket. Align the weir prior to pulling the pin release handle. This will release the pins so that they stick on the walls. You may need to reposition so that when is swivels it touches the uper bumper stop built into the skimmer. . Turn the pump and filter back on and check water flow into the skimmer. When the pump shuts off the weir door should close and keep debris insite the skimmers throat from entering back into the pool. adjust weir if needed.
