The umbrella valve presses into the air inlet tube on the spa liner. Note: OEM designed the umbrella valve to reduce the flow of water to a slow drip or trickle. But even with the factory-installed valve on a brand new spa, there will be a small amount of leaking. This is normal. That is why there are additional seals between the liner and the pump and inside the pump, and a cap for when the pump is disconnected.
