The High Limit Switch is an important switch in the H-Series pool heater, and is used to detect when the water temperature has exceeded a safe level (135°F) and immediately opens the heat exchanger outlet when that happens. Refer to your H Series manual for signs that the Hi-Limit switch has reached the end of its lifespan.

Two spades located on top of Hi Limit Switch provide easy installation into the heater manifold. Existing wires can be unplugged from old thermistor and reused when replacing.
