WHAT'S IN THIS MYSTERIOUS ELIXIR? All our pomades, and most of our products, start out with all organic oils, waxes and other natural ingredients. We've spent a long time creating a truly healthy pomade that has a base of Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Lanolin, Castor, Avocado, Argan, Grapeseed, Apricot and Jojoba oils. These oils not only help style your hair but are actually HEALTHY for your hair and skin! Truth be told even if you weren't styling your hair this product would have great effects on your hair, making it thicker, shinier and all the while healing split ends and poor skin. The oil ratios will change depending on the pomade recipe but you can rest assured there is no Vaseline, mineral spirits or chemicals being added to our recipes. All our scents are produced using a mix of essential oils, if for any reason something else is added it will be listed in the scent description information. So when I was fixin' to create a HAIR GREASE / GREASER SHINE my goal was really quite simple. I wanted something to add a lot of shine to my hair when I wanted the "GREASE" look but without the super strong hold of a pomade. But I also wanted it to be something that wouldn't damage my hair and skin and would wash out easily in the shower. Sounds easy enough but was really quite a challenge that I took up willingly. It took a couple of months to get the ratios and ingredients just right but I gotta say I'm more than happy to put the Dixie Cowboy label on this product. There is a good amount of hold with this product, when creating it I did have to make it stiff enough to stay in so if you don't have super thick or curly hair this would probably function well as a pomade for you. I personally love to use this in combination with our DEAD ELVIS hair pomade, our pomade has great hold and stay in power so I will usually brush up my bitty pomp' and after it's styled I run some hair grease through as a finishing product to add that shine when wanted.
