4 ounce package of hide cabinet glue for piano repairs. A great glue for gluing piano parts, including installing new hammers, gluing felt to wood, wood to wood, gaskets, etc. Glue sets quickly--and if you ever need to adjust or re-do something you're gluing, a little moisture and heat will separate the parts with little or n damage. This glue also sands and scrapes away much better than modern glue, which gums up. Hide glue has been a popular option for piano repair for hundreds of years. For best results, soak the glue overnight. After soaking, cook the glue for approximately 30 minutes under 100 degree F, then turn the heat up to 150 degrees F. Stir the glue occasionally and keep the glue pot well covered to help prevent evaporation.
