Editorial Review
ProDFM contains a combination of beneficial microflora that naturally resides in the gastrointestinal tract of the honey bee. Direct fed microbials have a positive effect on vitellogenin formation. Colony health is dependent on vitellogenin reserves of the nurse bees. Yeasts help synthesize B-vitamins for the hive. Apply to the colony spring and fall, or every 4 months if the bees are being transported for winter. ProDFM should be applied 2 weeks after any treatments for varroa, foulbrood or nosema, and 2 weeks after any essential oil treatments like lemongrass. These treatments are antimicrobial and will damage the beneficial bacteria. Mix 1 tablespoon ProDFM with 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Sprinkle over the top bars of the brood chamber. ProDFM 100g packet contains 10 treatments.
