Very finely ground pH neutral vegetable flakes are applied by hand to a 200 lb neutral board stock resulting in a texture that is slightly abrasive with perfectly uniform tooth. Unlike sanded paper La Carte Pastel Card was originally created specifically for pastel artists and therefore offers excellent pigment adhesion without the aggressiveness of sanded paper yet sturdy archival and highly resistant to fading. Imported from France. Please note that the surface is not recommended for wet techniques strictly dry pastel.
