Compared to the M/AF version, the AF version reduces the number of lens cover parts, and the overall performance is better. The lens clothing is more compliant and the hand grip is more comfortable. However, the manual focus ring cannot be operated after the lens clothing is installed, so only the AF function (For AF only) can be used. Please note before purchase: After installing the lens clothing, the zoom ring and the damping adjustment ring can be rotated independently, usually without affecting the lens operation. The manual focus ring and the stand ring cannot be rotated.
