16 LED drivers with programmable LED brightness, each output programmable: On/Off. Programmable group blur (dim) / flashing mixed with independent LED brightness. The 1MHz Fast Mode Plus is compatible with the I2C bus interface with 30mA high drive capability on SDA to drive high capacitive buses. The output state can be programmed to change when responding or stopping a command to achieve simultaneous update of all outputs or byte-by-byte update output (default is stop command change). Each LED output achieves 4096-level (12-bit) linear programmable brightness from fully off (default) to maximum brightness. Low effective output enable input pin, when the pin is high, the LED output can be programmed to 0, 1 or high impedance (power-on default is high impedance). The LED output frequency (all LEDs) is typically 40Hz to 1000Hz (when the oscillator is 25MHz, the default value of the prescaler register is 1EH and will generate a 200Hz refresh rate). Software programmable for open-drain LED output selection (default push-pull) of 16 push-pull outputs (25mA sink current and 5mA pull current at 5V), no input function. Six hardware address pins allow 62 PCA9685 devices to be connected to the same I2C bus. Maximum external input clock of 50MHz is allowed. Internal power-on reset. There is a noise filter at the SDA/SCL input. There is no glitch output when powering up. 25MHz internal crystal oscillator without external devices
