This medium, chrome-plated, double-ended balltool made by Sunflower Sugar Art is the finest tool one can buy for gum paste sugar flower work, or other crafts which require the action of this ultra glossy, smooth surface. High quality chrome never sticks to clay or sugar. It almost feels soapy to the touch, it is that slippery. Don't be fooled by other cheaper, metal balltools which are not coated with chrome. For cupping petals or ruffling edges, no other balltool on the market can compare. Forget plastic balltools which have a seam down the middle which tears up the petal or leaf. And the round varnished and polished central rod allows for rolling of the tool and well as poking and pushing. If a balltool is not perfectly round in the middle, so the artist can roll it forward, it is limiting in its use. This medium balltool ( T1-BM) is 6.5 inches long (163mm). Balls measure 17/32 inch (13mm) and 3/8 (9mm). This medium size is used the most for creating busy ruffles or cupping a flower part.
