This manual contains information on installation instructions, set up, lubricating instructions, maintenance, adjustments and proper operating instructions. The manual includes instructions for the use of the taper attachment, and adjustments to the gibs, v-belts, headstock spindle drive clutch, spindle bearings, and spindle brake for these Monarch lathes.  This manual has pictorial view diagrams of the parts for the 60 series lathes. We've also included exploded view diagrams of the parts for the pertinent similar parts from the 61 series, which is similar to the 60 except for the quick-change gearbox. We have a complete machine shop, and thought these would extremely useful to anyone with one of these lathes. Overview: I have collected this information for many years and have found the information they contain to be priceless in using and setting up the machines properly. I believe this manual will be a valuable resource of knowledge that will provide a lot of helpful information that is often hard to find. My manuals are not photocopies.
