L-Leucine is an essential amino acid. It can not be made by the body, and must be acquired through food or supplements. It has numerous health and athletic performance benefits. L-Leucine is known as one of the three branched chain amino acids (BCAA). It works with L-valine and L-isoleucine to protect and fuel the muscles.
