A rubber mallet (not a standard carpentry hammer) MUST be used for the lid to attach properly to a pail. The lids are slotted to provide tamper evidence as some of the areas below the slots around the rim will have to be broken or cut to remove the lid. The covers can be reused, but the tamper evidence lid will show that it has been taken off. - Pull up pour spout for 5 gallon paint bucket has a 38 mm thread. - Also compatible with Letica and Uline pails.
