ProductDescription : ALL PROFESSIONAL TOOLS' JSP's PH209 - The modern classic Forming Hammer has a Scandinavian design that is used by Jewelers, Watchmakers & other Craftspeople. Only 5oz, Brass & Nylon head is well balanced w/a lightweight solid hickory wood handle that is smooth to the touch. The Jewelers 2-in-1 Forming Hammer sometime called a dual-headed mallet features interchangeable faces, one flat nylon & one flat brass. The compact, no-mar jewelry mallet is a versatile must-have tool for designer-artists working with hardening or soft wire, clay or shaping malleable metals including silver, brass, copper, gold & is easily cleaned. The ergonomic hickory wood handle is designed with a comfortable grip & coated with a clear varnish. Threaded collar sturdy & reliable hold the nylon & brass ends caps in place. The Brass side will not cause sparks, the brass head is for lighter weight projects where steel headed hammers are too aggressive. The Nylon Head will not cause scratches, when using the nylon head on delicate projects or to avoid potential marring or scratching problems. A countersunk #1 Philips flat head wood screws holds the hammer-head securely in place. You & your employees can work on many different surfaces with this versatile hammer. This is a more popular style with European Silversmiths & preferred by Jewelers worldwide. Other industries that use the Forming Hammer are Watchmakers, Metal-Smith, Goldsmith, Blacksmiths, Silversmiths, Gunsmith's bench, Craftsman, Planishing, Model Maker, Hobbyists, Metal, Artisans & Renaissance Artists.
