It is a flame resistant material and does not absorb the heat / steam from the iron, so the heat applied bounces off the bottom of the fabric. When you use our clothing pad, it effectively retains heat so that both sides of the material can receive pressure treatment.

Cleaning: Simply rinse it in the sink or tub and hang to dry. Avoid twisting or bending. Please note, do not machine wash.

Drying Storage: Avoid folding or rolling. Find a flat surface and place it there. Also avoid storing the ironing mat when it is damp or wet.
