The Household Alcohol Meter ASP-3 is a high-precision instrument designed to measure the volume fraction of ethyl alcohol in a water-alcohol solution. This meter measures alcohol content in the range from 70% to 100%.
How to Use the ASP-3 Alcohol Meter:
Place the dry and clean alcohol meter in a measuring glass, ensuring it floats freely.
Wait for the meter to stabilize completely.
Read the measurement from the top edge of the alcohol meter’s meniscus.
Measurements should be taken at a liquid temperature of 20 ± 2 °C (68 ± 3.6 °F).
The meter has passed state certification and meets the requirements of GOST 18481-81.
It comes with a personal passport, stamp, and its own case.
The ASP-3 meters guarantee high measurement accuracy provided that the liquid being measured is at 20 ± 2 °C (68 ± 3.6 °F) and consists solely of two components—alcohol and water. If there are various impurities in the liquid (even in small quantities, such as sugar), the accuracy of the result decreases. Thus, even with a laboratory meter, it is not possible to accurately measure alcohol concentration in a mash due to the high level of impurities affecting the result.
As with any other measuring instrument produced in Ukraine, ASP-3 meters undergo mandatory initial factory calibration and come with a certificate of initial calibration. Chinese models do not undergo factory calibration and do not have the corresponding certificate.
