The ASP-3 household alcohol meter is designed to measure the volumetric fraction of ethyl alcohol in a water solution with high accuracy. This alcohol meter shows the alcohol content percentage in the range from 40% to 70%.
To determine the alcohol percentage, place the dry and clean alcohol meter into a measuring glass, allowing it to float freely. Read the measurement on the scale of the ASP-3 alcohol meter for concentrations between 40% and 70%.
The meter has passed state certification and complies with the GOST 18481-81 standards.
The alcohol meter comes with a personal passport, a stamp, and a protective case.
The ASP-3 meters ensure high accuracy provided that the liquid being measured is at a temperature of 20±2 °C (68±3.6 °F) and consists only of two components—alcohol and water. If there are various impurities (even in small amounts, such as sugar), the accuracy of the result decreases. This is why even laboratory alcohol meters cannot accurately measure alcohol concentration in a mash, as it contains many impurities and results will be less accurate.
Like any other measurement device manufactured in Ukraine, ASP-3 alcohol meters undergo mandatory initial factory calibration and come with a certificate of primary inspection. Chinese models do not undergo factory calibration and lack the corresponding certification.
