ProductDescription : New Made Item: Heavy White Buff Leather just like the original field equipment, this is the Model 1871 Valise Buff Leather Equipment Set as used by the British Infantry with the 577/.450 cal. Martini Henry Rifle. Comprised of: adjustable waist belt with brass 24th Regiment of Foot Badge belt buckle, pair of cartridge box pouches, over the shoulder cross straps, leather bayonet frog and black leather accouterments pouch. Comes in the correct White Buff Leather, just like the originals, with polished brass hardware, just perfect to complete your Martini Henry/Zulu War Display. Ideal for re-enactors, sorry, Red Jacket not included. Important note: Our buff leather is not pure white, neither were originals, you will need to add a whitener polish (we recommend white liquid shoe polish, like you would use on tennis shoes), the British soldier originally used blanco or like equivalent. Sizing: One size fits most. Fully adjustable, we fitted it successfully on a 6 man with a 44 inch chest with plenty of room to spare, we think this should accommodate a man up to 6 foot 3 inch tall with a 48/50 inc chest and up to a 52 waist.
