How to Use
.Sharpen the pencil to expose a smooth cylindrical lead of 5-6mm, be careful not to sharpen or draw the lead.
.Hold the pencil vertically at a 90 ° angle to the sandpaper (not included), move the pencil back and forth, and grind the tip flat.
.Insert the pencil into the instrument placed on a horizontal fixed surface, secure it by the knob to keep the instrument level, and place the tip of the pencil on the surface of the film.
.As soon as the tip of the pencil comes into contact with the coating, immediately push the test plate at a speed of 0.5-1mm/s for a distance of at least 7mm.
.After 30 seconds, wipe with an eraser and observe the results. If scratches do not appear, repeat the test in the untested area and replace the pencil with a higher hardness until a scratch of 3mm or more appears. If the results are opposite, reduce the hardness of the pencil and repeat the test until scratches exceeding 3mm do not appear anymore.
.The pencil hardness of the coating is represented by the hardness of the hardest pencil that does not cause scratches of 3mm or more on the coating.
