This Professional Series Medium Ribbon Grater has a two way gating surface. This manual grater cuts medium-sized ribbons of cheese, butter, or chocolate with ease and, as an additional timesaver, grates in either direction. Originally designed for shaving wood, the patented 18/8 stainless-steel Microplane blade has razor-sharp teeth that make grating effortless and that won(TM)t clog. The large 5-by-2-1/2-inch grating surface can accommodate bigger ingredients, such as a head of cabbage for cole slaw, and the matching 18/8 stainless-steel frame and satin-finish offer durable support for the blade. The grater has a non-slip rubber grip just above its head to keep it steady on a tabletop during grating.
