The role of this affordable, heat-resistant fabric is to improve the finish of your forged part and to save you time. The textured weave allows air and epoxy-resin to flow through during curing. It also leaves an attractive surface finish after curing. Lastly, the surface texture allows for better mechanical bonding to gel coats, with less hand finishing or sanding. You’ll get a stronger, lighter and more stable surface with lower resin saturation. The red markers on the fabric make it easy to peel off—and be sure it’s fully removed.
Econostitch peel ply is highly drapable and easily conforms to the curves and corners of your laminate during wet layup. Great for waterproof boat repairs, robotic builds, snow sporting gear, race cars, marine craft, recreational vehicles, remote controlled planes and other vehicles. Use with any of our resins (including polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy) at temperatures up to 375F. The cloth measures 30 inches wide by 180 inches long (or 15 feet long).
