ProductDescription : The Merrill R-6000 Yard Hydrant brings a different design to the Merrill line of frost-proof yard hydrants. Unlike Merrill's typical over-the-head handle design, the R-6000 features a lower placement for the on/off handle. Similar to other Merrill designs, adjustment set screws have been eliminated and replaced with nuts to eliminate the loss of adjustments due to rusting. The unique head design allows for the removal of the packing gland, operating rod, and plunger all without having to remove the hydrant head. This enables quick and easy replacements for users if needed. The R-6000 uses Merrill's one-piece, self-lubricating plunger allowing for a secured seal and extended life expectancy. An incorporated drain hole allows water to drain out creating confidence in year-round use in all climates.
