Many owners don't realize that all 2-wire spring return dampers pull power continuously to overcome the spring that is trying to pull the damper back to the non-energized position. The result - a motor that wastes energy, gets so hot you cannot touch it, and often fails prematurely. This retrofit kit works as a replacement for Honeywell M847D series motors on popular ZD and ARD dampers, including M847D1004 and M847D1012 motors, and other M847D series motors. Also works as a replacement for Trol a Temp MSR, RDMH, and other dampers.
